You can call me Bobby, I run a little site called Thinksquad. I have an associates degree in industrial design from the Art Institute of Seattle. A bachelors of arts from the University of Washington, and graduated with a double major in philosophy and political science from Rutgers University. I also spent 10 years in the Air Force from 1994-2004, having spent five tours in Iraq and two tours in Afghanistan. I am now a strong advocate of the non-aggression principles, voluntaryism and peaceful parenting.
I believe in anarchism without adjectives, because no one really knows what will work best until we have the chance to try. Local communities should be free to try any non-coercive system, and residents should be able to move somewhere else if they don’t like the way things are going. Through solidarity, competition, and sharing of information eventually a system of social organization would evolve that will be superior to anything that we could imagine today. And even if we were right, we’d only be guessing without going through that process.

I received a question about Forbes.com’s article about Obama being the smallest spender since Eisenhower. Despite the article looking pretty, no one in their right mind can let that sit well with them.
Obama has passed some of the largest spending increases in history (ie: the stimulus bill, auto bailouts, and Obamacare)Please see the above link from the Washington Post for information on why the article at Forbes is misleading.
Also see at Investors.com: Memo to the Media: Obama is a SpendthriftThanks Misesman for the help!
THINKSQUAD: The chart in this article tracks “annualized GROWTH of federal spending” not the amount spent. This means that President Obama’s relatively small growth in federal spending is ON TOP OF THE OTHER INCREASES. So he’s spending ALL THE MONEY THE OTHER PRESIDENTS SPENT, PLUS additional money on top of that. So while it may be fair to say that he has increased spending less than other presidents (assuming the data is accurate), he is still spending more money than ALL the other presidents mentioned in this article. So your headline saying he is “the smallest government spender since Eisenhower” and your chart headline claiming “slowest spending in decades” are false and misleading. He may be the smallest increaser since Eisenhower, and it may be the smallest spending increase in decades, but he’s spending more cash than any of the other presidents mentioned in this article.
Also this does not account for QE’s (Quantitative Easings) 1 and 2.
So let’s say, to make this simple, all the money in America is 10 million dollars. and you own 1 million dollars, then you have 10% of all the money in America, but when the president, decides to flood the market with money(Quantitative Easings) , let’s say 10 million dollars, well then the total amount of money in America is 20 million you did not get any of this additional money so you still have your same amount of money which is 1 million dollars, but now instead of owning 10% of all the money you now own 5% without even spending a dime, and they didn’t even have to raise taxes. That is how you and the rest of America got fucked.
